Gerod Staaf
Gerod Staaf is a full time professional studio and live musician and instructor. Gerod began playing at 10 years old, forming his first band at age 11. At 14 he composed and recorded his first full length CD. By this time Gerod had played inumerous live performances with his own bands as well as in other projects.
In 1997 Gerod played in Hawaii as a guest artist for Van Halen's opening band "Sunburn" at Hawaii's largest rock venue. Gerod also appeared for two weeks at Honolulu's premier blues club.
After a stint with BB King's bassist Russel Jackson in Calgary, Gerod recorded classical guitar for theator production sound tracks. He also played in Whistler and Vancouver several times with Sudden Death recording artists Dog Eat Dogma, and just recently played with blues / classic rock band Syndicate on a four month contract featuring several performances with recording artist Gaye Delorme.
Gerod's charisma, talent, aesthetics, diversity, adaptability, stage presence and unique compatible disposition have made him well known locally, as well as in Victoria, Hawaii, Seattle, and Calgary. Gerod plays and adapts to all styles professionally including rock, jazz, blues, extreme metal, country, and classical. He is currently available for studio and live performances.
