LIFTOFF

"LIFTOFF" offers a blushing alternative brand of rock with an aura of 80's pop. Their sound is obtained through a fusion of talent and style that evolves from the chemistry between lead vocalist Gio Gallang and bass player Marc Boily, both formally of The Tourniquets lead guitarist Sean Brennan, formerly of Tungue, and drummer Shane Resky, previously with Ryde. LIFTOFF's music is completely original and 100% Canadian. All songs are a collaboration between all band members.

Formed in May 1999, LIFTOFF has played gigs across BC and in clubs around Vancouver. Due to the success of their live show, LIFTOFF has built a strong, loyal, and energetic fan base, and has plans for a Canada-wide tour in the summer of 2001.

LIFTOFF recorded a 3 song demo CD, that features the popular hit So Familiar. The video for So Familiar (produced and directed in Vancouver) has been receiving airplay on Much Music and positive feedback from fans and critics alike. LIFTOFF has a new album coming out soon called Status Incoherent. The 11 song CD, will be released in early 2001.

LIFTOFF combines power, skill, and an expressive message to rivet your attention. The dynamic artistry of the rhythm section, the stinging style of the guitar, and the theatric emotion and control of the vocals brings the audience to its feet in an explosion of movement.
