The Cue Sticks
Larry and Colin met about 7 years ago after Larry was asked to join a band which Colin was currently performing with. Five Alive, as this group was called, played many local charity gigs, as well as the occasional private parties and clubs.
Colin and Larry began jamming together on their own as a duo. Larry had been working the circuit as a one man band, and had some killer drum/bass tracks backing him up. All he needed was a partner who could sing and play killer riffs. Colin was his man.
They played some club dates, private parties, and more charity gigs as The Blue Collars. Covering material from 50's Rock and Roll to Country Rock to current rock and up tempo blues material, they produced a sound much larger than just two guys with guitars.
Over the years, they continued to perform together, as well as contributing to a regular jam session at a drummer's garage in Langley. It was in this garage that they cemented their "locked in the groove" style of playing together, whether in a band situation, or as a duo.
Always seeking the elusive "pocket", they continue to develop their repertoire and stage show. Larry lays down a solid acoustic rhythm for Colin's lightning fast solos, and their voices blend in harmony with the spirits.
