The Tiller's Folly

Bruce Coughlan and the Tiller's Folly are a spirited West Coast Canadian group whose unique brand of Celtic music reflects a Pacific cultural heritage.
For years, this Vancouver-based band has been spinning songs and stories about the Northwest, it's people and it's history. Their sound is dynamic, contemporary, and draws from a number of Celtic music traditions. Performing at concerts, festivals, special events and over 300 schools, they have traveled the length & breadth of the province.
The group headlined the 1997 Pacific National Exhibition where they performed 51 shows; headlined Vancouver's Canada Day Celebrations for the past three years, featured on CBC, CTV, and VTV television and enjoyed radio airplay across Canada. The Tiller's Folly was nominated by the BC Country Music Association as 1999 Group of the Year, a first for a Celtic group .
Recently the group performed at the opening Ceremonies for the 16th Annual World Petroleum Congress in Calgary Alberta, with Canadian Prime Minister Jean Cretien in attendance and represented BC at Canada Night at Spruce Meadows , also for The World Petroleum Congress.
