Right As Rain is comprised of four seasoned musicians who joined 6 years ago to form a band dedicated to the concept of “live music”. The mission of the group is to play music that keeps dancers on the floor all night. No pre-recorded music is used. Each member plays his own instrument performing a wide range of dance music. Lead guitar player, Tony Tynes, hails from Nova Scotia and plays with an expressive blues style. Steve Toren, consummate bass player with roots in Dixieland Jazz and Contemporary Pop lays down the pulse, while Dan Williams, lead singer and front man, belts out lyrics with vocal stylings compared to that of John Fogerty of Credence Clearwater Revival and country singer George Straight. Providing a solid driving beat, Peter Paulus, previous drummer of the famed Handley Page Group of the 70s, sings back-up vocals and lead to songs like Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon” and John Anderson’s “Swingin.” The band has performed for birthday parties, banquets, wedding receptions, fundraisers, service clubs and private functions. The good time vibrations of the group make it ideal for any social function. They play classic rock, country, and rhythm and blues from the 50s through to the 90s.
