Formed in early 2010, My Mother the Carjacker is a band trio creating exciting, new and unique sounds. "Overall" genre was tossed out right in the beginning and songs were written as they came and not forced to pertain to a traditional sound. My Mother the Carjacker spans from blues/rock-a-billy/jazz to punk/heavy metal/psychedelic all within a few songs. All members are very excited to show their enthusiasm for the music and play as many shows as possible. The fun is in the love of the art. MMCJ will be promoting their first 5 song EP (recorded at Standstill Productions) on their first tour (western Canada) starting March 1st 2011. The band cannot stress enough their motivation to play any and all shows. 5 people or 500 people, they will play to their full potential every time.
