Ted Croft, from St. Catharines, Ont., began to play the guitar at age 8 after seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. He has since formed and played in many bands including Vancouver’s The Teds. Discovering he had an ability to impersonate John Lennon’s singing voice, he started Mersey Beat. Ted is an avid guitar collector and has many authentic Beatles style acoustic and electric models.

Dean Way moved to Canada in '68 and did not learn to play the drums until his early twenties. He quickly made up for the late start by playing and touring extensively through the 80’s and 90’s in top 40 and original bands.

Al Sirett moved to Canada in '63, arriving in Vancouver just in time to see the Beatles perform at Empire stadium in 1964. Inspired to take up the guitar, Al has become an accomplished musician and has been a part of various local bands.

Clive Calderbank comes to us from the African country of Zambia. In November 1964, Clive as a young boy of eight sat, watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Impressed with the four lads from Liverpool, he took guitar lessons but later switched to bass at which he excelled.

Mersey Beat provides a non-stop explosion of The Beatles #1 hits from the git go and love to interact with the audience. Mersey Beat reproduces the sound of the Awesome Foursome via their authentic gear and excellent vocals.
