Alma Nine is a cover band that started up in the fall of 2009 with Wayne Kaski and Boulat Nassiboulline as the lead singers and guitarists. John Myles and Rainer Roeloffs joined up very soon after on bass and drums. Wayne has played in cover and original bands in BC and Ontario for the last 12 years and has written many of his own songs. Boulat was the most recent to move to Canada from the Uk last fall and is originally from Russia. He did many acoustic duo and single gigs while in the UK and enjoys busking downtown Vancouver. He is also a songwriter. John played bass in a hard rock cover band, while living in Ireland, and came to BC in May of 2009. Rainer moved to Vancouver in 2008 and played drums in a wedding cover band when he was still in Germany. These guys are a fun bunch, entertaining, and play a great variety of music. So far they have gigged at the downtown Malone's with returning gigs at The Great Bear Pub in Burnaby and are looking for more places to entertain.
